Angil



Angil Wanner was born and raised in a small farming community in southwestern North Dakota on the edge of the Badlands. She graduated from high school in 1992 and went on to attend Dickinson State University in pursuant of a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with a minor in accounting. Angil has recently been accepted into the Master’s degree program at the University of Mary, Bismarck, ND.

Angil has been employed at SIA Marketing/Schmidt Insurance, a Long-Term Care Insurance brokerage firm, for the past 12 years as the Office Manager and also Senior Underwriter & New Business Coordinator. Her company focuses on educating and assisting their +10,500 agents (in 49 states) with Long Term Care Insurance sales and case management.

Angil is an active member of her community by holding the position of President for the Bismarck/Mandan Young Professionals Network of 250 members which focuses to enhance the community through professional development, entrepreneurship, community service projects and social networking.

Angil grew up on a farm so she enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking and any outdoor activity with her family. With two active teenage daughters, they are constantly on the go! Rachel is 15 and musically talented in playing the cello, orchestra bass, clarinet, bass clarinet, and bass guitar. She was awarded “Outstanding Musician” at the 2012 University of Mary Jazz Festival. Serena is 12 (going on 13 in a few months) and is active in the performing arts of dance. Her competitions and performances take them around the state. She was voted 2012 Co-Captain of her dance team the Horizon Adajios.


This will be Angil’s first international experience and to be granted this opportunity to connect with her Tasmania Team and others around the world will be a pinnacle experience. Thank you Bismarck Rotary for this life changing opportunity!
