Heather




Heather Minthorn is from Thunder Bay, ON Canada. She graduated from Hillcrest High School and went on to the University of Windsor to complete her Bachelor of Arts Degree (Sociology). Heather also holds a Master of Social Work degree as well as an Honours Bachelor of Social Work degree from Lakehead Univesity.

Heather is a Registered Social Worker at St. Joseph’s Care Group in Thunder Bay. She has been working at St. Joseph's Hospital since 2008 in a variety of different programs. Her specialization is in Geriatrics and her current position is split between an in-patient geriatric rehabilitation program and neurology out-patient program. http://www.sjcg.net/ Heather also works part-time with the Huntington Society of Canada. 

Heather’s family consists of her parents Betty Ann and Lorne who spend most of the year in Texas, her brother Ian who is a pilot with Bear Skin Airlines, and a standard poodle named Chester. 

When Heather is not working she enjoys downhill ski racing, kayaking, camping, curling, snowmobiling, hiking, fishing, shopping, and traveling abroad. Heather is also a volunteer at the Thunder Bay Multicultural Association helping new immigrants transition to Canada.
